Worked within a common use Ceramics space among peers and maintained a space for ceramic use. Made wheel thrown bodies of works, mixed glazes, mixed clay, and adequately cleaned up the space for communal use.

Worked alongside students and faculty to facilitate a space exemplary for mid to high fire clay bodies and glazes. Made clay and glazes from scratch materials, loaded and unloaded kilns for bisque and multiple types of cone firings, loaded and unloaded electric, wood, and gas kilns, upkeep and maintenance of kilns, and produced works of sculpture, wheel throwing pottery, and molds. Taught students outside of faculty class time about wheel throwing and glaze chemistry. Facilitated multiple different communication and teaching styles depending on individual needs.

Curated a learning environment around oil painting alongside faculty and students.Showed expertise of color theory, composition, glazing, canvas stretching, canvas priming, color mixing, and oil medium uses in teaching other students the basics and master techniques in oil painting.

Drip Glaze Series

Students were introduced to the beginnings of Cone 6 firings and drip/gloop glazes. Instructed students to make wheel-thrown vessels to facilitate a both aesthetically pleasing and functional pot with the gloop glazes.

Series of Figure Painting

After taking beginning oil painting and figure drawing classes, students were instructed on bringing the two worlds together. Assigned multiple paintings throughout the semester with different prompts to facilitate a creative learning space.

Surrealism Paintings

After taking beginning oil painting classes, students were introduced to the history of Surrealism in the Art World in hopes to draw inspiration for a series of paintings assigned throughout the semester.

Yunomi Cups and Test Glazes

Bard College at Simons Rock

Great Barrington, MA

Within this Tutorial, the history of Yunomi cups was taught so that students could make a series of them in a personalized fashion. These cups were then used as test tiles to facilitate experimentation with different types of glazes in both electric, gas, and wood kilns.
